ESG Report
In response to rapidly growing market expectations and the need to provide financial institutions with access to high-quality environmental, social and governance (ESG) information, we have developed a comprehensive set of ESG attributes dedicated to residential buildings in Poland. The aim of the project is to create a single, uniform and standardised data resource enabling a precise assessment of ESG parameters both at the level of individual properties and entire portfolios.
The data offered can be applied broadly across key processes in the banking and financial sector. The ESG Report may serve as a basis for assessing a real estate portfolio’s exposure to climate and environmental risks, identifying assets eligible for green finance, as well as supporting compliance with the requirements of the EU Taxonomy, CSRD and the guidelines of the European Banking Authority (EBA). The collected information also enables the development and enhancement of credit risk assessment models, in which incorporating ESG factors is increasingly becoming an analytical standard.
The scope of the data includes detailed information on building characteristics and the surrounding area. The ESG attributes have been grouped into categories that allow for a multi-dimensional analysis of a property’s quality and profile. The database includes attributes relating to the building’s energy efficiency, heat supply sources, heritage protection status, and sustainability certifications held. An integral part of the dataset is also an analysis of the building’s surroundings, covering, among other things, access to green areas and social infrastructure, transport accessibility, environmental nuisances, natural hazards and additional spatial characteristics that may affect the assessment of risk and property value.
The ESG data were developed based on reliable and standardised information sources, including the register of building energy performance certificates, Strategic Noise Maps, BDOT data and other public registers. We provide the data in xlsx or csv formats, according to the recipient’s preferences.
In subsequent stages of the project, we plan to expand the scope to include data on commercial properties. This will enable even more comprehensive support for financial institutions in analytical processes, regulatory reporting and portfolio risk assessment, providing access to a complete ESG database for the entire real estate market.
